We are honored to partner with Mobile Loaves & Fishes (MLF) on the expansion of Community First! Village, a thoughtfully planned community that provides housing and support for individuals emerging from chronic homelessness.
As part of this phase, Mark Odom Studio designed six custom microhomes ranging from 144 to 200 square feet. Each plan was intentionally crafted to reflect the personalities and living styles of future residents. Three layouts were created for more extroverted inhabitants — The Alcove House, The Bungalow, and El Camino a Casa — while three others were designed with introverted residents in mind: The Delight House, The Birdwatcher, and The Happy Hideaway.
These meaningful designs are replicated throughout the new Hog Eye Road expansion, integrated alongside three additional housing models. Once complete, this phase of the Village will total 600 homes, representing a significant step forward in community-centered residential architecture in Austin.

“It was an incredible experience and honor to develop the new microhomes for Community First! Village. We drew inspiration from the creative and distinctive tiny home designs introduced in Phase I and II of the Village by several talented local firms. We wanted to capture the same diversity in form and function while designing homes that could be efficiently constructed, easily replicated, and delivered on time and within budget.” – Mark Odom, Founding Principal, Mark Odom Studio
