Community First! Village—

We are honored to work with Mobile Loaves & Fishes (MLF) in their expansion of Community First! Village, a master planned community to support those coming out of chronic homelessness. Phases 3 and 4 of the project include a 127-acre expansion with designs by Mark Odom Studio, Thoughtbarn, LLC, and other MLF partners, expected to be completed in 2025.

Our design of six micro-homes ranging from 144-200 square feet each will be translated into a community of approximately 700 dwellings. Each home is designed to reflect and accomodate the different personality types of its inhabitants. All will include porches, and one will have two floors. 

The dwellings will be clusterd in 14 “Neighborhoods of Knowingness,” a proprietary site design concept created by MLF. In a Neighborhood of Knowingness, homes are centered around a communal area of shared amenities such as kitchens, laundry, bathing facilities, and outdoor space so that neighbors can connect and socialize regularly.
